Made in Mandelbulb 3D and Photoshop.

Also, I'm apparently terrible at replying to comments instead of just responding to my own submission.

first thought by looking at the thumbnail - an alien sort of saxaphone player - second thought - an apple core eating the worm (instead of the other way around) :D

I see a wedding couple wrapped in a large orange, great render and I love the concept.

I still don't understand how you make these, what do you use? 3D fractals?

Yeah, everything I upload is essentially nothing but an elaborate mathematical graph. They're more interesting than the average parabola on graph paper since they're generated by infinitely repeating equations and have various special effects like lighting, depth-of-field and ray-traced shadows applied to make them look as realistic as possible. The rendering program I use is called Mandelbulb 3D which can be downloaded for free from fractalforums.com, it's a good way to spend spare time fiddling with different formulas and then hours to days for a high quality render to finish.

Do formulas also apply colours or is it you through photoshop?

The colors are all applied in M3D. The only thing I actually use Photoshop for is to resize the images as a cheap form of antialiasing and occasionally to adjust brightness and contrast levels.
